When dreaming up the concept for Heaps of Me I knew I wanted the tagline to reflect exactly what HOME has to offer. HOME is so much more than just an addition of categories to my former food blog. It’s about following my heart and doing what makes me happy. And so, “soulful living,” became part of our tagline. Soulful living is the reason why HOME exists. In expanding my food blog to a lifestyle blog I have truly listened to what is in my heart and soul. Soulful living is, in a nutshell, being true to your soul and doing what makes you happy. As I’ve gotten older I have begun to realize that it is the littlest things in life that make me happy like an early morning cup of coffee when the rest of the world is still asleep. Lately, fresh flowers have been my source of inspiration and I’m about to let you in on a little secret. You can have beautiful, fresh flowers too for the cost of your Starbucks latte. That’s right! Make your coffee at home just once a week and freshen your space with bright, beautiful florals. My secret? Trader Joes.
Trader Joes is good for more than just cookie butter and coconut oil. TJ’s sells beautiful, inexpensive bouquets that typically last over a week. I purchased mine for just $3.99.
I recycled my TJ’s brown paper bag and used it as my work surface. That’s soulful living and green living all in one 😉
What does soulful living mean to you? I would love to hear your thoughts on living soulfully!
